Published transaction economics: ID + face verification is $1.00 per attempted verification. Fingerprint verification is $0.50 per successful match, with no fee on failed fingerprint scans. Card processing is provided by Lifted Payments at 3.99%; a separate payments application and approval are required before go-live.

Start with the published processing terms
AgeVend publishes a 3.99% card-processing rate through Lifted Payments. Payment processing requires a separate application and approval before the machine can go live. The processing application is distinct from an AgeVend equipment-financing application, and neither approval is promised by the marketing site.
Request written agreements that identify the processing rate, supported payment methods, equipment scope, any additional fees, settlement arrangement, support contacts, and the products and locations covered by the approval. The written agreement controls final terms when it differs from a summary page.
Map the checkout-to-dispense sequence
A successful unattended purchase has several linked events: product selection, configured verification, payment authorization, machine delivery, order creation, and customer confirmation. Ask when the card is authorized, what happens if verification cannot be completed, and how the system responds if payment succeeds but delivery does not.
The customer message and operator record should make the exception understandable. A declined card, interrupted connection, duplicate tap, verification failure, and delivery fault are different events with different next actions. Review those paths in the real kiosk and operator surfaces instead of evaluating only a perfect demonstration purchase.
Model verification beside processing
Processing is not the only transaction-level input. The published ID plus face price is $1.00 per attempted verification, whether the attempt passes or fails. An enrolled return customer can use the configured fingerprint path at $0.50 per successful match, with no fingerprint charge for a failed scan. If the fallback ID plus face path runs, its standard charge applies.
Build a transaction model that includes ticket amount, product cost, processing, the expected verification mix, tax, venue share, refunds, disputes, service, and route labor. Gross sales alone do not show contribution margin, and a lower verification price on some return visits should not be treated as guaranteed savings on every transaction.
Confirm settlement and reconciliation questions
Before launch, ask which report connects an order to a payment, how settlement totals are presented, which time zone and business date are used, how fees appear, and how refunds, reversals, chargebacks, or adjustments are reflected. Confirm who has access to those reports and how the route reconciles them to accounting records.
Do not assume a settlement schedule or funding time from a general sales page. Final timing, reserves, holds, and support procedures depend on the approved processing relationship and written terms. Keep the processor support path and AgeVend machine-support path documented separately so the team can route an issue correctly.
Prepare for refunds, disputes, and failed delivery
An unattended route needs a customer-facing support method at the machine and an internal playbook for payment exceptions. Define the evidence reviewed for a missing product, duplicate charge, claimed underage attempt, delivery fault, refund request, or dispute. Preserve the machine, order, payment, verification, and support context allowed by the applicable systems and agreements.
Assign ownership and response times. The person who restocks a cabinet may not be the person authorized to issue a refund or answer a payment dispute. Role-based access and an audit trail help the route investigate without giving every technician unrestricted financial control.
Quote the complete commercial operation
The AV-1 base machine price starts at $9,500, while the final route quote can also include freight, tax, software, connectivity, implementation, inventory, and other deployment inputs. Payment processing and verification are recurring transaction inputs. Equipment financing, when used, adds a separate application, underwriting, and final terms.
Review the complete machine-cost guide, inspect the public operator demo, and request a written route quote. The objective is one model that connects hardware, location, customer flow, processing, verification, product margin, and support—not a collection of unrelated advertised numbers.
Questions buyers ask
What is the published AgeVend card-processing rate?
Card processing is published at 3.99% through Lifted Payments. The approved processing agreement controls final terms.
Does buying an AV-1 automatically approve payment processing?
No. A separate payment-processing application and approval are required before go-live.
Is payment processing the same as equipment financing?
No. Payment processing supports customer card transactions; equipment financing is a separate application and underwriting path for the machine purchase.
What other transaction charges should a route model?
The route should model verification, product cost, tax, venue share, refunds, disputes, route labor, service, downtime, and other terms in its written agreements.
